First day of piano lessons for the big boy and big girl. Daddy has been keen on enrolling the kids in some music lessons and we were finally able to put aside some money in the budget for this.

My morning bedside table contents: journal10 & pen from jotting down stuff the night before, box of tissue, Project Life journal cards, books(Designing your own classical curriculum & The Well-Trained Mind), mug of coffee

My dad speaking on spiritual warfare to our community. All the time while he was speaking, all I could think of was that cross behind him. Such juxtaposition - he has and continues to carry his cross for Christ and I admire him for that!

Hossana! Hossana in the highest! Lord, we lift up your name with hearts full of praise. Be exalted, O Lord, our God, hossana in the highest!
This is the Palm Sunday of our Lord's Passion - the mark of the beginning of the holiest of weeks for Catholics as we remember Christ's passion, death and then resurrection on Easter Sunday.

In the light of a beautiful California sun, these 15 girls got together for their first Little Flowers Club session. Little Flowers club is a Catholic alternative to Girl Scouts where young girls learn about virtues and saints associated with the particular virtue. This week, they learned about faith and St. Catherine of Siena. I pray that these little flowers bloom in their love for their God and as they grow, they may bring more little flowers into the palm of their loving Father.
