Continuation of last night's bedtime stories - just too many stories to read!
After almost 8 years in this house, we have finally gotten ourselves proper bed side tables!
One of the yummy things I brought home from Hawaii is Li Hing powder. For those who are familiar with Chinese delicacies, this is kiamoy powder. You can sprinkle it on just about anything for a nice little kick. It goes especially well with mangoes too. I indulged today and sprinkled it on sour patch kids. Mmmmm... My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Apparently, the faucet decided to conk out right while we were away. It would not stop leaking. Here's the shiny new replacement. The husband works quickly, doesn't he?
Nothing like a H.U.G.E. pile of laundry to jolt one back to reality. Vacation is definitely over! Sigh...
So many lives lost at Pearl Harbor. The USS Arizona Memorial is built right atop the fallen USS Arizona, sunk during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Some parts of the ship are still visible. About 2 quarts of oil continue to leak from the battleship, more than 50 years after the attack.
