Rank Advancement into a Bear Scout for the big boy. He has earned his badge BUT they are tasked to do a good deed before Mom can sew that patch on. Here, he is pinning on the bear pin on Dad, his akela.

The girls came over to a fellow homeschooler's house this morning after their stations of the cross practice. They had a lot of fun while I enjoyed some down time with a fellow homeschooling mom too.
Thursdays are co-op days for us. After their classes, we have a picnic with other families at the park. The kids relish their time with their friends at the sand yard. They are really sandy and dingy by the time it's time to go home. While the clean-up part is not something I particularly enjoy, allowing the kids to be kids is priceless!
Sigh...these scenes melt my heart. As Kuya finishes up his homework, little girl sits by him and "reads" her own book. I love these quiet moments.
We went on a field trip to the post office today. I learned a lot too. Here's something to be thankful for: those junk mail that clutter our mailboxes? They subsidize a lot of the costs of the postal service. If not for them, postage would probably cost more than $1. I see them junk mail in a whole different light now.
A current favorite among the kids. I'm glad that they are still entertained by simple games like this. I think this reflects our simple lifestyle. We are simple folks who find joy in simple things and live for a singular purpose - to give glory to our God.
My Daisy Scout posing with the rest of the Girl Scouts after a special mass at our parish church. This was her first activity with them and to say that she was excited would be such an understatement!
