We had a prayer walk for our district activity today. It was actually more of a "prayer sit" for me. It was a beautiful and chilly morning spent conversing with my Lord. Then some group sharing while having brunch to cap the morning. Thank you Lord.
I had a meeting at Corona tonight. Daddy was at work. The girls were sick so they stayed home. It was just you and me, son. It was an unplanned outing but special anyway.
Unfortunately, the 2 youngest ones are still sick. Sigh. We don't usually give them medicine and just let it run its course. Drink lots of water, is what we get them to do. They have just been so congested and unable to sleep straight through the night that we've decided to give them meds for some relief. Hope the little ones get it out of their systems soon - and not transfer it to anyone else in the household.
Leftovers from last night's dinner. There were four types of these mini cupcakes: chocolare with chocolate frosting, chocolate with vanilla frosting, carrot cake & red velvet. She got them from Big Man Bakes at downtown.
The ladies had dinner at the house tonight. It was good to catch up on the latest with each other. It's been a long while since we had gotten together. A night of stories and laughter and good food. My kind of evening. At the end of the night, it was a consensus that we could not wait too long to get together again. This definitely needs to be more regular!
Alas, after dodging the sickies for most of winter, it has caught up to us. Sigh. I was hoping that no one would get sick this season but that might've been an impossibility. It is so hard when any one of the kids are sick.
Our community's Children's Formation Ministry met at Mater Dolorosa Center at Sierra Madre today to walk and pray through the Stations of the Cross. Thankfully, the rains stopped long enough for us to finish the stations. Thank you God.
