You
>> Friday, January 15, 2010
In my head, I had my photo for today all planned out. We were going to have dinner at your Ninang's house to celebrate the 3 birthdays in January - yours, kuya's and your ninang's son. I took shots of the 3 of you blowing out the candles on your individual cakes. But as I was going through the pics I took, this shot of you grabbed me. You refused to smile for me. You looked at me through the camera with an almost defiant look. You are very strong-willed my sweet one. Yes, headstrong yet sweet. That is how you are. And I love you!!
Grey's Anatomy
>> Thursday, January 14, 2010
My Thursday night date with the TV is back! The kids are in bed. The dinner table has been cleaned up. Well, even if it hasn't, by golly, at 9 pm, I'll drop everything and be comfortably in bed watching Grey's Anatomy. In this age of DVR, this is one of the shows I'd rather watch in real time.
Writing
>> Wednesday, January 13, 2010
Serious at work, isn't she? I introduced spelling lists last week as part of our language arts program. I choose 10 words from the stories we are going to read for the week. On Monday, she copies the words onto her spelling book. On Tuesdays, she writes them three times each. A pre-test on Wednesday. Then the test on Friday. These spelling lists also serve as her handwriting practices.
Bye-bye Car Seat
>> Tuesday, January 12, 2010
How is it that my baby is now using a booster seat instead of a car seat? Seriously, when did she become a little girl?! She was a baby only yesterday, wasn't she? You and I both know though that she will ALWAYS be my baby girl!;)
Aqua Doodle
>> Monday, January 11, 2010
As her older sisters and I did school, she kept herself busy doodling on the Aqua Doodle wall runner. The "pen" fills with water and then writes on the special paper wall runner. It kept her quiet and occupied long enough for us to finish our own school project. She was having so much fun in fact, that her sisters begged to play with her too.
Mountain High
>> Sunday, January 10, 2010
Here she is waiting for her turn to go tubing down the slope at Mountain High Resort. Everyone one of us came to play. The 2 younger girls had to sit on mom and dad's laps to go down as they were too small yet. It was a good time for everyone. Fun family fun!
